During the past semester, the students of the Barenboim-Said Akademie did a little experiment… and recorded a podcast! This project was done as part of our "Music Mediation" course by Leibinger Professor Yael Kareth, in which we explore creative ways to share our thoughts, knowledge, and experiences in the world of classical music.
The immersive and auditory nature of podcasts provide an ideal avenue for listeners to delve into our world as classical musicians, and it also gives us a chance to experiment with new skills, starting from conception, writing and storytelling, through production, marketing and effective communication.
In this podcast, which we decided to name "General Rehearsal", you will get our personal views on our lives as music students at this special Akademie, as well as some thoughts and questions about what it's like being a young musician in today's world.
