The Barenboim-Said Akademie receives generous support from the German federal government. Since its founding in 2016, friends have been supporting the vision of its founding fathers, Daniel Barenboim and Edward Said, both ideologically and materially. Their donations make special projects such as Transcultural Music Pedagogy and Music Mediation possible, but also support the daily life of students, for example by donating instruments or providing scholarships. We appreciate every gesture that shows that the mission of the Barenboim-Said Akademie is appeciated at a time when this institution is needed more than ever.
